So… Do you want to travel with your friends/classmates?

Friendship has traditionally offered a class trip for 7th grade students to Springfield, Illinois and St. Louis, Missouri. This trip is typically run in the Spring, and is a culminating activity/experience for students after they have studied the expansion of the United States to Western lands, the United States and Illinois Constitutions and government structures, and the rising tensions between the North and South over the issue of slavery. Details about this year’s Springfield/St. Louis trip:

This school years’ optional 7th grade class trip is scheduled for Saturday, May 4th and Sunday, May 6th, 2024.

 

Students were given this information in class about the trip:

Next steps for this year’s trip:

In late January/early February any students registered for the trip will be meeting to discuss upcoming deadlines and make their roommate selections.

The first deadline for NEW trip registration has now passed. Please let me know if you have any additional questions or concerns regarding the trip. In the meantime, I have attached links below to get some background information on some of the sites we are planning on visiting on our trip. I am always available for any questions that you may have, and I am looking forward to an awesome educational trip experience this coming school year!
