Please note: Friendship’s Math teachers would like all of our students to use the same calculator. They can be purchased for sixth graders and any new students as part of your child’s Students Fees in August. Calculators will be distributed in Math classes.

Seventh and eighth graders will be using the same calculator as last year.

Reminder: Students will receive their schedules in August. At that time, an additional supply list will be distributed with specific supplies requested by each teaching team.

Sixth Grade Required School Supplies

The following school supplies will be needed by students in all sixth grade classes next year. There are some additional supplies that are specific to individual teachers. Students will receive that information once they begin to attend classes.

• 1 set of earbuds to be used with laptops
• 12 pencils or 12 mechanical pencils
• 12 pens (blue or black ink)
• 4 pens with red ink
• 2 highlighters
• 500 sheets (approximately) loose-leaf notebook paper (standard size, wide line (not college rule)
• 1 small box of colored pencils (for use in Art class)
• 1 ruler with both inches and centimeters
• 3 boxes of facial tissues (needed in August)
• 6 folders with pockets or expanding file pocket or a “trapper”
• 2 glue sticks
• 1 pair scissors
• A pencil pouch or case
• An assortment of post-it notes (small and large)
• 1 1/2 “ ring binder for Science
• 1 composition notebook
• 1 spiral notebook
• As noted above, a specific model of calculator will be available for you to purchase through the school

Seventh Grade Required School Supplies

The list below is basic for all seventh graders. Some additions to the supply list for specific teachers will be given out in August, and each teacher will be going over his/her supply lists at the beginning of the year. Whenever possible, please mark the items with your child’s name.

• 1 set of earbuds to be used with laptop
• 1 flash drive 4-8 GB (optional)
• A supply of #2 pencils
• A supply of pens (blue or black ink) and several red pens
• A supply of loose-leaf notebook paper. Paper should be wide-lined (not college rule) and standard size 10 ½ x 8 inches).
• 5 Book covers (purchased or homemade) for hardcover textbooks, extra large, fabric, but not peel and stick
• 1 protractor
• 1 ruler with both inches and centimeters
• 3 highlighters
• 1 pack of colored pencils
• 5  single subject (individual) spiral notebooks (wide ruled)- one per subject
• 5 pocket folders (one per subject) – 1 each of orange, yellow, red, green, blue
• 1 glue stick
• 3 boxes of facial tissue
• 1 5-pack of Post-It-Notes (3” x 3”)
• 1 pack of 100- lined index cards – 3.5 x 5
• A pencil pouch or case for supplies
