WHAT IS BATTLE OF THE BOOKS?
- Battle of the Books is a voluntary academic contest open to all 6th-8th grade students.
- Beginning in December, students select their team members and start reading books.
- Teams are composed of 2-4 members. Team members need to divide the titles to be read as equally as possible.
- The more books each team member reads the greater the chance they will win the competition.
- Starting in April, students compete with their team to become the building Battle of the Books champions.
- The winning team from each of the participating schools competes against each other to become the BOB District Champions.
- This year’s competition includes:
- Holmes Junior High School
- Friendship Junior High School
- Grove Junior High School
