Decades of Service Honored at Recognition & Retirement Celebration
Over 400 years of service and employment in CCSD59 were honored at the Professional Development & Administration Center on Wednesday night.
Members of the district held the annual staff recognition and retirement celebration to honor those working their last year at CCSD59 and others who are in the midst of milestones. Teachers, instructional coaches, principals, and custodians enjoyed food, hugs, and memories as they heard story after story of time spent working with students and communities.
“The best part, for me, is when the staff say thank you to the community and colleagues for allowing them to work with kids,” said Associate Superintendent Tom Luedloff. “It always hits me that they say this after 30 years, 40 years, whatever it may be.”
